7 Months and Counting

Parker Man turned 7 months this past Tuesday and is doing so much since the last time I blogged. He is now saying 'Mama" and "Babababab", he has signed 'more' while eating, gives Todd a high five and cruising along the furniture once standing. He blows me away at how fast he catches on to things.

Today, we had a great day as a family!! The day started with Breakfast that Todd made, then he smoked some of his famous ribs that we enjoyed while watching the OU/TX game, cookies were baked, and finally chili was cooked for tomorrow. We also enjoyed this beautiful day outside as Todd trimmed some plants. We were able to get a lot of great pictures of Parker through out the day. He is so fun and playful!!!

This past Tuesday, Parker got to go to yet another Rangers Game but in the stands this time with Todd's work. It truly is not the same as a suite but was fun. We weren't able to stay as long as we usually do but I was able to catch a sweet picture of Parker and Todd.

Busy Busy Boy

Parker is a busy boy now that he is crawling and pulling up on things. One of his favorite things to do is crawl over to the window, pull up and look out the window. I truly believe that he is one with nature! Nature has always calmed him down even when he was younger.

Parker's second tooth has FINALLY cut through the gums! I am so thankful for this because he has been in so much pain with it. There have been several nights that he has woke up screaming in pain. It just kills a mom to hear their baby cry like that. This also has caused Parker to stop sleeping through the night :o( which is no fun for mommy or daddy.

On the Move!

It is official...Parker is crawling! He didn't venture too far at first but he was on the move! In a matter of a couple days he was going everywhere. He has ventured to the stairs on one occasion but didn't know what to do so he moved on! The true crawling everywhere began last Friday. He was even able to show off his skills at the Ranger game that night in our friends suite!

This past Tuesday, Parker also discovered that he can pull up on things...everything! He will just stand there and isn't too sure of what to do next. The only way down for him right now is when he falls. It is very exciting to see the progress he is making and growing but once again sad to know he is growing up.

Enjoy these videos of him crawling the his "roar"!!

Labor Day Weekend and more...

SWEET FACE :o)

We had a busy weekend but a very good one! Our friends Merri and Kevin got married Saturday night and Sunday we hung out by the pool. Although I had the day off today, I am not ready for the work week to begin. I wish time would stand still and we could have some much needed relaxation as a family..no plans, no chores...just hang out and chill.
Being lovey on my daddy!!

Parker went to my parents Saturday while we went to the wedding. He did very well and was spoiled rotten by his Mimi and Papi! Mimi started a bad habit and rocked him to sleep which he wanted today when he went down for his nap. I do love the cuddle time with him though! Sunday, the rest of the family came over and we were pleasantly surprised when Ann and her friend showed up. It was really great to see her. Everyone had a blast playing with the P-man!
Hanging on the porch after eating my breakfast. Look, I have my Boomer Sooner shirt on for the first weekend of college football!

Parker started shaking his head "no" about a week ago and does it quite frequently now. He is also cutting his second tooth! It has been very rough on everyone. There have many nights that he wakes up screaming in the night in pain. I think all the pain from the tooth has made him want to be held more and to cuddle more again! I love it! Parker's rocking back and forth has progressed into 'crawls' now! It is very slow but definitely a crawl. Todd and I are not ready at all for this. He is such a busy body...he will be EVERYWHERE! I think I have named too many milestones to be happening at one time. To top it all off, as I was telling Todd that Nancy (Parker's PA) wasn't concerned about him not rolling from back to tummy yet Parker proceeded to do so right in front of us. We both were laughing so hard I think Parker thought we were crazy!
Hanging out in my swing sucking on my toe because my thumb wasn't tasting good at the moment! I also have my duck blanket that I tuck next to my face when I suck my thumb (or toe)!

Half way to the First Year!

Parker is officially 6 months old and that much closer to his first birthday. He went to the Doctor yesterday and blew Nancy the PA away! She couldn't believe he was sitting up by himself and so good at that. She doesn't want him using a no spill sippy cup but no worries there because we aren't. She said that the no spill sippy cups tend to cause speech problems in the future. I have been letting him drink from a Big Boy cup and I also got him Soothie Sippy Cups and he loves both. His appointment went very well until his shots. He knew that he was getting shots before he even got them. He was screaming, but shortly after he stuck his thumb in his month and held on to me for dear life!

His stats from his appointment:

Weight: 17 lbs 5.5 oz -----> 50%
Head: 44cm ----------> 55%
Length: 26 1/4in -------> 50%

This past Wednesday, Parker's tooth finally poked through the gums. That little tooth has been a big pain for Parker. It has made him feel horrible and the shots he got didn't help the situation. Yeah for his first tooth though!!!

Parker got to spend all day Friday with his Nana and I'm pretty sure he loved it! I had to work and Todd and his dad were working on the fence. He got lots of attention!

We got his 6 month pictures done today at JcPenny. He did very well despite being a tired little man.

Updates

Welp...I officially saw a pearly white peering through the gums today. It is slowly moving in but not noticeable enough for a picture. I did catch this really cute picture the other day though.
We got Parker the neatest seat for the bath tub finally! I had seen it on someone else's blog several weeks ago and was on a mission to find one and when I did I put off ordering it. A couple days later at a Garage Sale (that was spontaneous) I found one for only $4!! You would have thought I had won the lottery. I was so excited about it and that it was so cheap. It looks brand new too!!! It has been really helpful in the bath and I feel much better about Parker sitting up now with some protection. Here is a picture as he debuted his chair.Parker had his 2nd play date with his friend Chloe last week. They had a lot of fun and Parker even minded his manners.
