7 Months

Wow how time flys. Austin has passed the 7 month mark and well on his way to 8 months! He is a very busy boy these days!

He wears 12-18 month clothes.

He  wears size 4 diapers.

He loves to eat....peaches, pears, strawberries, apples, sweet potatos, vegetable meals, chicken dinners, bananas, pea, green beans, puffs, veggie sticks. He is a huge fan of his food and will have his mouth wide open before you even get the spoon to him!!

He started crawling April 10th and as soon as he started crawling he pulled up on the nearest item he could get to (a toy box)!! Yep, he crawled and pulled up for the first time all in one day!

He can go from crawling to sitting.

He is starting to try and cruise along the furniture. I would not be surprised if he started walking before he's 10 months. With all this moving around he did have his first bad owie though. Trying to keep up with Parker in his room, he wanted in the window and while pulling up, slipped and fell right into the window sill. I felt like a horrible mother. He hit right on the corner of his eight eye. He started bleeding and swelled immediately as he was screaming his head off in pain.

He is growing way too fast and getting way too big. I am sure he has passed the 20 lb mark now!! My little chunky monkey!!

Black eye...

Look at me!!!
Giggles!

Easter

What a fun busy weekend we had. So fun I barely took any pictures! The week before Easter, Parker and I dyed eggs. This was definitely an interesting feat with a 2 year old who wants to do EVERYTHING! He did great and we had some pretty eggs. The first event of the weekend was an Easter Egg Hunt in Mt. Pleasant at Nana and Gaga's. Parker was looking forward to getting to ride on Gaga's tractor more than anything and Austin still doesn't say too much about what we do. He just goes with the flow!! While in Mt.Pleasant we also enjoyed the company of Denise and Lance who were in from Georgia for the weekend.

Sunday we went to Mimi and Papi's for another Easter Egg Hunt. We were able to have a successful hunt right before the down pour came. It was a nice visit as it always is.

Laughing Out Loud

Big Boy doing Big Things

Parker conquered two big hurdles in one weekend. The weekend of March 31st, Parker insisted on sleeping on his nap mat so rather than fighting about it I let him do it and let him know that if he got up that he was going into his crib. What do you know...he was fast asleep and didn't wake up all night long. The following night I took the front off his crib giving him a big boy bed. He has slept there or on his nap mat since. We haven't even had a problem at nap time. He sleeps and doesn't yet up and play. He is so proud of his 'big boy' bed!

Playing cars in his bed!!

We also went and bought him a potty just his size that weekend. I have been dreading the thought of even potty training because all my attempts in the past have been failures! He has done awesome and once again proved me wrong! He is an old pro already! He goes diaper and pant less at home and does his business when he needs to then goes about what he was doing. He does think he gets candy every time but now we only reward when he has gone numerous times in the potty. Next will be potty training away from the house. I plan on conquering that as soon as school is out and we are home more. He has made it accident free on two occasions away from the house from 30 min or more. Those were just small tests. Look mom I did it!!!

He is growing up way too fast although I do love to see him grow and thrive. He makes me a proud mama! Love him!!

Video Updates

Here are some recent videos of the boys...

Blue Bonnets

Today we made a stop on our way back from Austin's Dr appointment to take some pictures of the boys in blue bonnets. Austin was passed out so we started with Parker. It was a bit difficult at first to get him to smile and look at the camera but after a bit of bribing with candy we got several good shots of him. After awhile we woke Austin up and attempted to get some of him also but he wasn't digging being woke up from pictures!!

6 Month Check Up

Today we took Austin for his 6 month check up. He was a very happy boy when we got there, flirting with the girl at the front desk. Needless to say he was not aware he was getting 4 shots. I felt horrible as Ms. Lisa gave him the shots and I held him as he screamed harder and harder with everyone. She even hit a vein causing it to bleed a lot and she said it will bruise and hurt. Poor guy was wore out after all that. He was so tired tonight he fell asleep in Todd's arms outside. Hopefully he gets a good (ALL NIGHT'S) rest as we are going to let me cry it out. He is a very healthy growing boy who doesn't need to wake up in the night to feed.

His stats were:

Weight --> 19.10 lbs. (80%)

Height --> 27 1/4 in. (80%)

Head --> 44 cm (55%)

He is eating apples, pears, sweet potatoes, and strawberries. He doesn't care for rice cereal one bit. He spit it out and screams when you give it to him. A boy with a temper!!

He is still rocking back and forth but also moving like an inchworm to get to his toys and any other item he may want. He sits on his own great with little to no help!!

He loves to swing, be outside on a blanket playing and with his momma!! Yes he is a mommas boy which is wonderful at times but exhausting when I need a break.
