Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving break has been a nice break! A break from the usual routine of life, although I have been very busy. The Sunday before Thanksgiving we went to my parents and had Thanksgiving there and Thanksgiving Day we went to Mt. Pleasant to visit Todd's side of the family. There was a lot of eating between the two Days! I think the baby enjoyed all the eating though! I'm not sure the baby enjoyed getting up at 3am Friday morning to go Black Friday shopping. We went to Wal-Mart and got 4 shopping carts full of toys for Toys For Tots! I was exhausted after that! A nap was definitely due... We did get the house inside and out decorated with all our Christmas stuff! It looks so warm and cozy! I love all the lights during Christmas.

Tomorrow, I am going to cross my fingers that I don't get a phone call from the Dr. I had my glucose Test this past Tuesday and the only reason they said they would call is if I need to come back and do the 4 hour test :( I really don't want to do that. I go back to the Dr. on the 11th for a tummy check and our 3D Sonogram!

Upstairs we have a second living room. Todd and I unexpectedly ran into a GREAT deal at Dillard's last weekend and were able to buy some furniture for the second living room. I wanted over sized chairs that were extra comfy because I know when the baby comes I will be spending a lot of time in there. Todd even ordered me a new TV so I can watch TV while I'm up with the baby in the middle of the night! It's all coming together! Here's a look at the chairs we got!

Holidays

The sound and feel of winter is in the air! I love this time of year. I love the music, the cold, the decorating, and the time I get to spend with our families. All the memories are created and shared during these times. I am even more excited about starting a family. It is going to totally change our lives. There will be so many new adventures and challenges ahead of us.

My next appointment is a week from today and I get to drink the sugar stuff...YUCK! I will go every two weeks now. At least I get to hear the heart beat! Time is going to fly by. Last night I was telling Todd I couldn't believe it was Thanksgiving already. He said "We are going to say the same thing in March!" Well, here is a picture of me from today. I am 25 weeks...
My brother-in-law, Josh, came over today and put in the kitchen back splash. It was very exciting! Our house has been a slow remodel but I love every little thing we have done to it! Let me know what you think!

Circle of Life

Yesterday, a very special person in our lives went to Heaven. My grandmother went to be with the Lord and my papa. She is going to be missed by all, as she was a very special person. I know that she is very peaceful now. She was very excited about the new grandchild that will be born in March. I got to show her the sonogram of the baby and let her feel the baby kick just a week before she passed. It was a very special time and memory for me. It will be a memory I will be able to share with the baby when he/she is older. The pastor made a good point as we were all standing there. It's "The Circle of Life", one life is ending and another beginning. We will all encounter the end one day, but it's more important that you know where you are going. I know my granny is now in Heaven and I hope everyone who reads this is going there too. She would love to meet you.

OH...Baby, Baby, Baby!

Well, I finally gave in and bought my first two pairs of Maternity jeans! The Bella Band only worked for so long and it finally got to the point that I am not comfortable anymore. I can't wait for them to come in the mail tomorrow!

Several website say that the baby should weigh a pound and a half now! I can tell the baby is growing everyday. The movements are very evident in my belly! I have noticed this week my body temperature has begun to rise also. Usually I am ALWAYS cold but not anymore....I was super HOT last night and I am sure I will be until my little angel is born.

I will be 6 months on Tuesday and have a doctor appointment Wednesday. My appointment is with another doctor at the same office. It is a group of doctors so I need to get to know them all now. Who knows who will deliver the baby?!

I will be 26 weeks (6 1/2 mo) at Thanksgiving! I can't wait to see everyone and for everyone to see the baby bump.

All the lasts with SO MANY FIRSTS TO COME!

Today, Todd and I spent the day together. He made breakfast, we took a nap, watched the Cowboy game, went for a walk, worked in the yard and enjoyed a lovely dinner together! There are so many things we will do between now and March that will be the last time we do it as a couple. The last Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year, Valentines Day....BUT there are so many firsts to come! We can't wait to embrace every minute of every moment with our new addition to the family. There will be no more weekends that I am bored at home while Todd is at work but filled with fun and excitement from the little one! Todd is excited about having a reason to watch cartoon's...especially at the holidays! Everything will have a new meaning when we get to see it through our child's eyes! It makes it that much more special! I could go on and on about all the exciting firsts....

Fun and Relaxing Weekend!

This weekend has been a lot of fun. Although we really haven't done much, Todd was off Saturday and Sunday! Saturday we went and bought the baby stroller because they were discontinuing the color we wanted and then went to my parents. The baby got to sit by the out door fire place with us and watch my nieces roast marshmallows!

Today Todd felt the baby kick for the first time! It was very exciting for the both of us. I think it was the orange juice! We just put the stroller together. I think it took a total of 10 minutes to assemble. Easy Breezy!

Here is a picture of Todd with the stroller...I must let you know that the mohawk is temporary! He had to shave it because they raised more money than last year at the OTB in Burleson for Susan G. Komen. He has to wear it pink tomorrow to work! He definitely has to wear a hat when we are together in public! Hope you enjoy the picture!

Married Two Years Today!

I was having a bad day at work today but my WONDERFUL husband of 2 years made everything better! I got an Edible Arrangement delivered to my office at lunch. I was so yummy and really made my day! Thanks babe! I think the baby even liked the fruit...oh and the chocolate of course!

Well to top things off, when I got home I had a dozen red roses and lily's waiting for me! I think Todd did pretty good...ok GREAT! He even cooked dinner but we all know he does that anyways...I'm not much of a cooker. Here's a picture of my pretty flowers...
