Summer

Excuse me while I stop for a minute and take a deep breathe before the summer fun begins. Life has been a bit of a whirl wind over the past month.  School scrapbooks consumed my life almost every day and night. As of Friday, we listed our house for one last go at selling it. We have already had one showing yesterday and three more this afternoon. If we do finally sell, my summer will continue to be a whirl wind but a good one! I am looking forward to the fun I get to have with the boys this summer. I will be sure to blog more often as I have more free time!!

Jersey 2012

We did it!  We made it through our first flight with both boys and I would do it again in a heart beat!  We went and saw our friends from NJ, Steve and Jana and their daughter Gabriella. Both did great the whole trip. The first night we were very lax, ordering pizza and catching up. Day 2, we went to a kid friendly area very close to them. It had a small zoo, train, carousel, and park. The kids had a blast. That evening we enjoyed dining in at a family owed restaurant downtown and also enjoyed walking around seeing the beauty of Westwood, NJ. Day 3 was a raining day so we took the kids to New Jersey Children's Museum. Parker and Gabby had a blast. There was so much there for them to do. Later that day, Jana and I enjoyed an AMAZING pedicure. The night was topped off with Jana's homemade sauce and meat over noodles!! It was delish!!!! Day 4 was our final day there and time to go home. The trip went by so fast but we had a blast. Our travel home wasn't as smooth as our travel there. Due to inclimate weather in Chicago, planes were delayed and our flight ended up taking off 2 1/2 hours later than originally scheduled. Both boys were very ansy in the airport and way off schedule as this point. Austin cried and cried and people stared and stared.  know they were thinking 'that baby better not be on my flight' as I paced the airport to finally get him asleep 20 min before we boarded, only to wake him up again. Parker ran crazily through the airport as he was full of energy! Sometimes you just have to let them get it all out before boarding the plane and being cooped up for 5 hrs. Once we got going the trip home was pretty quick with a plane change in Houston (that was a run from one gate to the next, buckle up and let's go!!).
After a couples days we were all recovered from the fun trip we had!! We look forward to their visit to Texas next with their new addition to the family!!

Ready set go...Austin went to sleep and Parker was too excited to sleep!

7 Months

Wow how time flys. Austin has passed the 7 month mark and well on his way to 8 months! He is a very busy boy these days!

He wears 12-18 month clothes.

He  wears size 4 diapers.

He loves to eat....peaches, pears, strawberries, apples, sweet potatos, vegetable meals, chicken dinners, bananas, pea, green beans, puffs, veggie sticks. He is a huge fan of his food and will have his mouth wide open before you even get the spoon to him!!

He started crawling April 10th and as soon as he started crawling he pulled up on the nearest item he could get to (a toy box)!! Yep, he crawled and pulled up for the first time all in one day!

He can go from crawling to sitting.

He is starting to try and cruise along the furniture. I would not be surprised if he started walking before he's 10 months. With all this moving around he did have his first bad owie though. Trying to keep up with Parker in his room, he wanted in the window and while pulling up, slipped and fell right into the window sill. I felt like a horrible mother. He hit right on the corner of his eight eye. He started bleeding and swelled immediately as he was screaming his head off in pain.

He is growing way too fast and getting way too big. I am sure he has passed the 20 lb mark now!! My little chunky monkey!!

Black eye...

Look at me!!!
Giggles!

Easter

What a fun busy weekend we had. So fun I barely took any pictures! The week before Easter, Parker and I dyed eggs. This was definitely an interesting feat with a 2 year old who wants to do EVERYTHING! He did great and we had some pretty eggs. The first event of the weekend was an Easter Egg Hunt in Mt. Pleasant at Nana and Gaga's. Parker was looking forward to getting to ride on Gaga's tractor more than anything and Austin still doesn't say too much about what we do. He just goes with the flow!! While in Mt.Pleasant we also enjoyed the company of Denise and Lance who were in from Georgia for the weekend.

Sunday we went to Mimi and Papi's for another Easter Egg Hunt. We were able to have a successful hunt right before the down pour came. It was a nice visit as it always is.
