2/3 of a year old

Parker is that much closer to a year and seems to reaching a milestone daily. He is such a joy to be around. We are so lucky to have been blessed with a great temperment baby. He has been a real trooper this week and went to work with me twice. He definitely got his fair share of attention up there. Leslie even made him a new toy...a coke bottle shaker with pennies in it.

Some of his accomplishments include:

Clapping his hands. It doesn't just happen when we say 'yeah' but random other times that he is happy!

He has cut both top teeth now but it hasn't been easy. He will bite anyone and anything in site.

He is saying "dada"

He can feed himself finger foods...puffs, bread, totillas, diced strawberries

His new foods include pumpkin, strawberries, bread, tortillas, zuccinni, corn

Mama on a Mission

Yep that's right. I am finally going to start working out regularly. Tonight was the first time since Parker was born that I have put 100% into my workout. I won't say that I have been lazy but I haven't been productive in the workout department.

The last week Parker has been going to bed at about 7pm (unless we are out and about) and I am finding myself with all sorts of extra time to do things finally! I plan to spend my time working out, reading and a little bit of relaxing once he's in bed.

Wish me luck because we all know it is so easy to get caught up in life's daily event's and forget about the me time.

Fall is in the Air

Parker hasn't learned to truly appreciate all the fun activities that go on in the Fall yet. He has already got drug through a pumpkin patch and the zoo and there are so many more to come!!

The Zoo...He loved watching the elephants and rhino's.

Pumpkin patch...He tried to eat the pumpkins and the hay!

Parker didn't get to join Mom and Daddy Friday night at the Rangers Game though. It was game 6 of the ALCS...which they are now AL CHAMPS!!!!! It was a historical moment which was very awesome to be a part of!

Beautiful Weekend

The weather was Beautiful this weekend! Although Todd had to work, Parker and I were able to enjoy some time outside. Saturday I laid a big blanket in the back yard and we played and snacked and we did the same Sunday after Church at my parents. Fall is definitely in the air and I love it! Parker is feeling better but not all the way well. He also cut his first top tooth!

Playing Ball!

I love my Drum!

All SmilesNAP Time!Parker has been Mr. Personality lately! Jumping on the couch has become a new favorite activity of his. I guess this is a sign of what's to come in the future. What kid doesn't love jumping on the couch and bed!

Sick Baby

Well, we made it 7 1/2 months without Parker getting sick. He now has a little cold that is reeking havoc on him. It all began yesterday evening at bed time. He went to bed at 6:30 but woke up screaming at 8:30. He was up again at 2am and again at 6:30am, screaming uncontrollably every time. I just held him tight. Not knowing what is wrong with your baby is the worst feeling. This morning the fussiness continued and I noticed both a runny nose and a cough which continued throughout the day. He is also cutting one or both of his top teeth which is adding to the pain and discomfort...my poor baby. He is hanging in there there but I'm sure it will be another LONG night.

Commitment

Growing up my family always went to church and was very involved in church. It is my commitment to God and Parker to start going to church regularly. We have finally found a church that we like in Weatherford. Although it is not close now, we are planning on moving there as soon as our house sells. I think it is very important that God is apart of Parker's life and I think it is best to start him in the church now. He has gone to the nursery the past two Sunday's and done very well. Although we caught him stealing food from a girl one Sunday!
He may not know what is going on at church now but I know that he will grow with the church and eventually be in a Sunday school learning about God.

Playful Parker

Parker has always been a lot of fun to play with. He is laughing out loud all the time now! We were playing the other night and got a good video until he discovered the camera of course.

Parker hasn't quiet mastered any new tricks but we have been practicing clapping hands and we are still trying to get him to say "Dadda". He has started bouncing his legs when I sing him my "Where is Parker" song! He gets so excited when he hears it especially when I get home from work and he hears it before he sees me!

7 Months and Counting

Parker Man turned 7 months this past Tuesday and is doing so much since the last time I blogged. He is now saying 'Mama" and "Babababab", he has signed 'more' while eating, gives Todd a high five and cruising along the furniture once standing. He blows me away at how fast he catches on to things.

Today, we had a great day as a family!! The day started with Breakfast that Todd made, then he smoked some of his famous ribs that we enjoyed while watching the OU/TX game, cookies were baked, and finally chili was cooked for tomorrow. We also enjoyed this beautiful day outside as Todd trimmed some plants. We were able to get a lot of great pictures of Parker through out the day. He is so fun and playful!!!

This past Tuesday, Parker got to go to yet another Rangers Game but in the stands this time with Todd's work. It truly is not the same as a suite but was fun. We weren't able to stay as long as we usually do but I was able to catch a sweet picture of Parker and Todd.
