The Final Thanksgiving

Thursday morning; Todd, Parker and I traveled to Mount Pleasant, Texas for Thanksgiving with Todd's family. On the way we stopped and saw Aunt Frances and Walter. Frances had made Parker a cute knit hat for him to wear...especially since it was so so cold outside. At Todd's parents house there were lots of new faces for Parker to meet. He was passed from person to person with lots of loving from everyone! Denise, Lance, Amberlynn, David, Nana and Gaga all got extra time with him since we spent the night.
Parker doesn't do well in new places unfortunately for this mama. He wouldn't go to sleep unless Todd or I took him driving...so I found my self venturing through Mount Pleasant at the wee hours of the night just to get him to sleep. We even went to Ihop at 2am to meet Debbie and Linda after or Midnight Black Friday Shopping Spree at Wal Mart.

Parker was definitely in recover mode today. He took an hour nap this morning and a 2 hour nap this afternoon. He was so tired this morning that he fell asleep sitting up on the couch with Todd while I was fixing his bottle. My poor baby was pooped! Because he was napping this morning, he missed out on the first half of Jasmine's Birthday Party at McDonald's.

As Parker's bed time got closer, I got the gut feeling that he may have an ear infection but hope that I am wrong. He was becoming increasingly irritable, would barely take his bottle and tugging at his ear. I hope that it was continued tiredness from being out of town. We shall see what tomorrow will bring...

Overall, It was a GREAT 1st Thanksgiving for Parker. Being the happy baby that he is, he was a real trooper!

Thanksgiving

Friday at work, I celebrated the first of three Thanksgivings. I left Parker with Merri and Staci for just 20 min and he had a mohawk! It was a long day but Parker was a real trooper as long as he had his Mama!
Today we celebrated my families Thanksgiving. It was a wonderful day of food and laughter. I am truly blessed with a wonderful family who enjoys each others company and loves one another. The cousins met once again and had a ball! Liam and Parker played their little hearts out together. They kept us all on our toes as they were DOUBLE TROUBLE! They loved banging their hands on the coffee table together....Parker really did have a cute outfit on today but he got hot playing so hard!
Todd and I are once again thankful for all God has provided this year...each other, a job, a roof, food, a loving family and so much more. He is so amazing and always provides for me and my family.

FUN!

Just a little clip of Parker in full blown laughter as he slams the cabinet door into Todd's head!

El Distructo!

Parker is in to anything and everything lately! He likes to try and climb on things, unroll the TP, and slam the cabinet doors closed. It's all a game to him! My little bear is so much fun though!

Bittersweet Ending

Well the time has come and we are slowly transitioning Parker to formula. It was a very emotional decision but the right thing to do at this point. He has been very clingy since I started this transition....waking up at 5 or 6 in the morning only to want to cuddle with his momma. I love every minute of the cuddle time but it makes me very sad.

We are starting with only 1/4 formula and slowly going to work it up to all formula. I joke that by the time we get him completely on formula it will be time to transition to whole milk! We had received several samples of formula in the mail when I was prego so we had several kinds to pick from and see what works for him. We started with the plain Similac and it seems to give him gas and he doesn't really care for it so I did the Similac Soy tonight and either he liked it or he was REALLY hungry! Hopefully the transition will be smooth and not upset his tummy too much.

Many prayers are needed for both mommy and Parker during this time. Who would have thought it would be this hard.

Trick or Treat

We had a great Halloween despite Todd being sick. Parker looked too cute in his pumpkin costume. We had hesitated all day about putting him in it because it was so warm out and the costume was fleece but it finally cooled down enough he was able to wear it without sweating.

We only went to a few houses but he was the cutest little boy tricker treater! His cousins were the cutest girl tricker treaters!
