Goodbye ELC

What a sad sad day it was Thursday at the ELC. It was my last day there after getting a new job at Couts Christian. During the past year and a half at Mckinney, I have made new friends, grown spiritually, grown as a teacher and enjoyed working 3 days a week. I will miss seeing all the sweet women i worked with but I know I will stay in touch with some. I will definitely miss the amazing boss I had. What a wonderful person she is.

August 26th, I will embark on a new journey. I will begin teaching 2's at Couts in Weatherford. I will teach 5 days a week but just 5 minutes down the road. I am a bit nervous and am hoping for all the wonderful things I had at Mckinney and more.

Parker has come a long way with his swimming this summer. He is now jumping off the board and swimming the length of the pool and able to swim to the bottom of the pool in the shallow end to pick up the rings.

Phase or Terrible Two's???

What a week it has been with Austin. Yes my sweet lovable little boy has turned into a tantrum throwing child. It has slowly gotten worse. Saturday morning while at The Little Gym, he screamed and cried while throwing him self on the floor. He also has bit Parker 2 times in 2 days. Once on the tummy and the other on the arm both drew blood. Did I mention the constant fights he has with Parker over nothing. Who is this child??? Is this terrible twos?? I want my other child back because if this lasts any longer I may lose my mind!

The Little Things...

• Austin loves to say "I do it", "Mommy do it", "Daddy do it"
• Loves you to kiss his "booboo's" and will even kiss his own
• Loves to be held when we go somewhere...usually saying "Hold me mommy" as soon as I open his door
• Favorite character right now is Elmo
• Counts to 2
• Enjoys playing with his toys especially balls
• Loves to dance
• Swings on the "big boy" swing already and loves to go high like his brother

Parker's First Movie at the Theater

Parker went and saw Monster University with his Mimi Monday. It wasn't completely successful but it was a start. There was 30 min of previews before the actual movie started. That was way too long to hold a 3 year olds attention before the movie even started. They lasted half way thru the movie and left. It was on to ice cream and playing. Now I know to show up late to his next movie!!

4th of July Celebrations!!

The day before the 4th we began our celebrations at the zoo then dinner and swimming with friends. The forth was celebrated with family swimming, eating and fireworks. It was a lot of fun and a great way to celebrate our Freedom.
